The story of this place

Named after the Gadigal man Bennelong, who served as an intermediary between the Eora people and the early British colonists, this restaurant occupies one of the most iconic dining spaces on Earth. Under the white sails of Jørn Utzon's masterpiece, Bennelong offers an experience where architecture and cuisine merge. Executive Chef Robert Colefax creates dishes that celebrate Australian produce while honoring the building's heritage. The restaurant sits within the Opera House's first shell, offering views of the Harbour Bridge through its glass walls. It's more than a meal—it's dining inside a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
